March 8th in Romania was Mothers Day a day which is taken very seriously in Romania with all Mothers given flowers, chocolates and presents.
To encourage our Stupini Kids to celebrate their Mothers the kids at the homework club, last Friday, made cards for their Mums. The kids took great enthusiasm in creating their cards and they used their little imaginations to create some interesting cards for their Mums. As you can see from the photo’s we might have identified some works of modern art!!!
On the Saturday (March 7th) we took the kids who come to the Stupini Kids Saturday church group to a Reptile Exhibition which is currently in Brasov. The Saturday club is a small home group where about 5 to 10 kids from the Stupini Kids Project attend. The Saturday club is led by 2 of our dedicated volunteers; Nicu and Rodica.
The kids on arriving at the Reptile Exhibition were amazed in seeing a live crocodile , deadly spiders and nasty looking snakes…. reptiles they would have never of dreamed of seeing before. It was great just taking the kids to this exhibition, as in reality they would probably never get the chance to do something like this themselves.
Thanks to everyone for making it possible in serving this brilliant but needy group of kids
