Liquid's departure from Call of Duty

It was only 4 months ago that we signed our Call of Duty team, yet it is with great disappointment that we must go our separate ways. CoD was a very big part of Team Curse before the merger with Liquid, and we were genuinely excited about reentering the scene at the start of the year. We took our time in selecting the best team possible, and we knew that our guys would be a pleasure to work with.
Unfortunately, there are times when a good pairing simply isn't enough and we were unable to qualify for the new season. Therefore, we decided that it was in the best interest of everyone involved to move on.
We helped two of our players find new league teams, and we are certain that Apathy and StuD will do well on EnVyUs and Luminosity respectively.
On the other hand, Burns is now a free agent looking for a new team. We will continue to help Burns find a new home where he can show that he's still a force to be reckoned with.
Lastly, we are glad that Merk has transitioned from a player to a part of MLG. He's one of the most hard working guys out there, and we're sure that his knowledge of the scene will prove invaluable in his new career.
We wish Apathy, StuD, Burns and Merk the best of luck in their future endeavors and we know that they will succeed in their new teams and new careers.

Call of Duty has always been an important part of esports for me since it is what gave me my start back in 2012. I have had a great pleasure working alongside Joe, Matt, Jeremy, and Bryan for the past four months and I am disappointed that it had to end this way. But for myself, although we lost in the relegation match, it was a goal of mine to make sure everyone landed in a spot where they felt comfortable and could further their careers. Whether or not I could have a huge impact on how it happened I would like to think that their futures are very important to both me and Team Liquid. With two of the guys landing on qualified teams and a third working for a great company, I am certain that a bright future lies ahead for each and every one of them.

The Liquid Review - April 2023
It's been an interesting start to the year for many of the Liquid teams, to say the least. Upsets and disappointments abound despite star-studded rosters across League of Legends, VALORANT, and CS:GO — although stalwart high performers like Team Liquid Brazil and rapha continue to establish themselves as powerhouses in their respective esports.
